Gentle Teaching

Gentle Teaching is a philosophy about connecting with each other in a way that creates trust, causing a person to feel safe, loved, and valued. This philosophy was started by Dr. John McGee and embraced by Friendship Ark Homes in 2005. All our staff are trained in Gentle Teaching, applying it in their work with our core members, as well as in all areas of their own lives. We feel strongly that Gentle Teaching enhances the lives of our core members, and helps us carry out our mission.
