Supported
by the Ames Community Grant Program

Each year we hold a 4K/4M race/walk around Lake Ada Hayden, on the
morning of July 4th. This is a really fun way to raise money for Friendship
Ark Homes. Prizes are given to participants and awards to winners.
Young
or old, serious competitor or family out to enjoy a beautiful morning,
our event offers something for everyone! Look for pictures of this
year's race to be posted shortly.
A
grant from the Ames Convention and Visitor's Bureau allowed us to
advertise this event throughout the county and state.

Christmas
Party 2008
We held our annual Christmas party at St. Cecilia’s
Church on Sunday, December 7th. The festive evening included social
time followed by a catered meal. Puppeteers from First United Methodist
Church presented a program with a refreshing spiritual component.
The core members loved their performance! We ended the evening with
core members opening their gifts from Friendship Ark Homes. Attendees
again brought warm hats, scarves and mittens to the benefit to be
given to local children in need.
